POSITION SUMMARY

The position is full time, responsible for ensuring Medtipster clients and patients receive superior service. Key members of the account team are responsible for overall satisfaction of member claim processing and managing the day-to-day member relationship. Responsible for utilizing technology, tools, processes and resources to anticipate and exceed clients' needs and expectations. Collaborates with other operation executives and the clinical manager to process prior authorizations, enter overrides, update eligibility as required, manage client expectations and service needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prior Authorizations - Initiation, submission, PA tracking, provider responses, and act as back up to Clinical Manager on determinations.
  • Data Entry - Update eligibility as required, enter PA Overrides, maintain PA Process Log.
  • Phone Back-up - Supports account management in live answering member and pharmacy calls.

  • Manage day to day member relationships through comprehensive knowledge of client's benefit plan and Medtipster product offerings.
  • Daily interaction with members, clients, consultants and producers providing preventative analysis and issue resolution associated with Medtipster services.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate management and execution of all client benefit requests, including eligibility changes, new groups, terminations and escalated issues.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Valid State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
  • Two years' experience in customer service industry, healthcare, or pharmacy required.
  • PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as internet experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and phone etiquette skills required.
  • Exceptional data entry skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing projects utilizing proven project management practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.
